Wisper’s Portlandia

The Portland band, “The Winebirds,” was holding a release party for their new album, and invited me to attend. As the director of their music video, it was an opportunity to hang with the band after the video has a premiere at the small indie film festival, “Dances with Films.” Through a set of circumstances, Wisper,  the step-daughter of a dear old friend, joined me in Portland to check out the music scene. Wisper is a college DJ in San Antonio so the trip was a chance to see what the music scene was like.

I decided to give her a chance to be in front of the camera. We did all this on the fly, we winged it.  Take a look, I’m actually amazed how this came together in spite of our limited coverage.
